RARE WALTHAM CROSS "5": This is the ONLY English combined General Post & Penny Post charge mark, probably no more than 12 are known. 1839 wrapper (v. good condition, filing creases) originally ex-Charing Cross paid "5(d)" ms to Epping redirected to Waltham Cross, turned and sent to Westminster (printed address) with "5" hs applied (HE554). All General Post charge marks are rare. This is an exceptional usage.
