Gertrude Thompson, 2nd edition, i.e. 1st published edition. One of several variant issues. In this copy People’s Edition Price Two Shillings’’ is omitted from the top of the title-page; ‘’Price Three Shillings’’ has been added above imprint; this has been over-printed with an ornament and ‘’Price One Shilling’’ above the block is added. Alice’s face, in profile, appears with the Cheshire Cat, on p.34, Macmillan and Co., London, 1889 - a very scarce 1st edition variant.
