A late 19c German mantel clock by Lenzkirch in carved oak case of rectangular form with circular columns to the corners and pointed top. The case front is carved with roundels and baluster arcading and has round finials surmounting the corners. The 4.5in diam dial is silvered with Gothic Roman numerals and an engraved centre and has a cast brass bezel. The movement has deadbeat escapement and rack striking on a gong. Clock stands 14in tall overall.
Case is in reasonable condition. dial needs re-silvering and bezel cleaning. Movement needs overhauling. Strike mainspring appears to be broken and there may be other damage to strike side.
