Two boxes and an album (not full) of postcards. The larger shoebox is full of mainly modern postcards, the smaller box has around 390 standard-size cards which are mainly UK topographical, but also include some subject cards (merchant and naval shipping interest) and foreign. The album contains around 90 cards, including UK topo and a number of real photographic song cards (see photo, which includes a Castrol motor oil advertising card of Sir Malcolm Campbell's Bluebird car). There is a photo of some of the best cards of the box with the older cards – which also contains a few smaller than postcard photos of the aftermath of the D-Day landings. Most of the modern cards are in very good condition, but some of the standard-size cards have faults, and a small group of Basingstoke printed cards may been kept in damp conditions for a while.
