A MID-18TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SILVER BOWL

probably by Alexander Bogdanov Hildebrand, Moscow 1759, alderman Fedor Petrov, of everted lobed circular form upon a spreading circular foot, the upper section with chased decoration of rocaille C-scrolls reserved against textured decoration with a scalloped edge. 10cm high, 17.5cm diameter, 10.2 troy ounces



The rim has a small split. Another small area of the rim may have been repaired in antiquity. There is a dent on the side towards the base.
