19th CENTURY ITALIAN TERRACOTTA GLAZED STAMNOS VASE BY GIOVANNI MOLLICA
the vase with Greek red figure style decoration depicting Orpheus, Hermes and another figure possibly Eurydice, with motif bands above and below, 37cm high (excluding foot rim which is detached from the vase)
Note: Giovanni founded his ceramic workshop in Naples, Italy. His sons, Ciro, Achille and Alexander took over the family business, continuing it until the end of the 19th century

Foot rim is detached from the vase. Chip to the rim. Some light surface scuffs. Crack to base of main vase. There are also a couple of repairs to the base which is loose.
