A 19th century micro mosaic brooch, the central oval field with beetle micro mosaic detail, within a raised yellow metal mount with cannetille Greek key border, 'aperture' to reverse with hinge pin, unmarked, 2.5cm wide, 4gms
Pin is loose.
Mosaic with residue between pieces, will benefit from a clean.
Areas of loss to border, and to beetle, particularly seen to the wings and body (seen with x10 loupe)
Mount is unmarked, with residue seen and areas of wear, commensurate with age and use.
Mount of hinge pin and hinge pin may be later replacements.
Aperture to reverse doesn't appear to 'open'
