A Winchester Model 1897 pump-action shotgun, serial number E720214, the stock stamped with Royal Irish Constabulary armoury mark 'RIC - 490'; together with Birmingham Gun Barrel Proof House deactivation certificate dated 20/11/01. Reputed to have been issued to 'K' Company of the Auxiliaries, who were responsible for the burning of Cork.
Provenance: Purchased from a retired Police officer, Pat O'Hagan collection.
