French Chassepot 1866 Pattern bayonet with fullered single edged blade, maker marked and dated 1878 to spine of blade, 577mm in length. Brass grip missing release catch. Serial number to crossguard 16836. Overall length 700mm. Complete with scabbard, non matching serial number.
