Doulton & Co Portmeirion: An extensive collection of photographs and correspondence mostly of Wales by Cecil Nokes, son of Charles Nokes, handwritten letters from Clough Williams-Ellis designer and builder of Portmeirion village, he took over as Art Director of Doulton'& Co in 1936. Cecil trained under Leonard Bentley and Robert Allen and was responsible for many tableware designs in the 30s and worked alongside his father producing Flambe, Sung and Cherry vases. Each mounted photograph is signed, dated and named, sold with a number of loose images, some which show his sculpture.
