Beautifully Decorated Silver tea caddy with matching close fitting lid. London 1889. William Cripps. 138.2g

Good Morning and thank you for your interest.
The tea caddy measures 85mm long and 85mm at the widest point.
there is no apparent damage apart from minor depressions and age related light scratches to the underside. The cartouche is unmarked.The Hallmarks for london 1889 are clear and show bun hair Victoria facing left. The makers mark however is slightly rubbed to the left hand side making the first initial difficult to read.
the lid is close fitting and fits well. There is some light wear to the scrolled decoration to the base of the lid but the pattern is clearly visable and shows well.
