A mid 18th Century North Indian Tulwar ( Talwaar / Talwar ) sword. Disc shaped pommel with spike finial, swollen grip with knuckle bow terminating in a stylized animal head and guard extension on both flats of the blade. Blade and hilt both with detailed remains of the koftgari decoration. Measures approx 96cm.
