Italian Fascist Youth Naval Leader’s dagger / knife.
A very fine rare example with 16.5 cm plain plated double edged blade. Pommel and backstrap in gilded brass in the form of a lion’s head and mane instead of the usual eagle. Black simulated grip secured with straight and twist wire binding terminating in gilt brass acorn and oak band above the plain crossguard. Housed in its plain brown leather scabbard with press studded securing strap bearing old ink inscription ‘Italy 1944’. VGC
