Sold by AFN Porsche of London on 1st August 1989, the car was on a G plate before going onto a 944 private plate. It has covered 102,000 miles from new, which is very low mileage for a 944. This car is described by the vendor as the rare and sort after 2.7 engine example with the 5 speed gearbox, and a timeless number plate.
There has been thousands of pounds spent on service history over the years, all Porsche main dealer. All hand & service books are present, with 32 stamps showing, and the cam-belt was changed 5,000 miles ago. In rare Baltic blue, standard equipment includes tele-dial alloys, electric windows, electric mirrors, electric seats half leather with white pin stripe inlays, head lamp washers, rear seat belts, and ABS. Factory options included on the car are 215/60VR tyres, front fog lights in white, matching door cards, electric sunroof, and no catalytic converter.
It has just been re-commissioned after 3 years of being laid up, at a cost of £3,000. It has been fitted with a new windscreen, brake calipers & pads, brake pipes (with new fluid), battery, new drivers seat switch, wipers, and bulbs. It was fully serviced with new oils, filters & plugs.
The bodywork is showroom fresh with no marks, dents, scratches or rust. This 944 has been really looked after over the course of its life only covering 3,500 miles per year. Being very critical the dash board has suffered from sun damage, ideally you could recover in blue leather which would match the rest of the interior and would set it apart. It would also grace any classic car show as its a real head turner.
