A worksplate, LONDON & NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY, 5364, 1906, from a Great Central Railway Class 8E 4-4-2 Atlantic No 364 built at Gorton in December 1906 and named LADY HENDERSON by May 1907 after the wife of the GCR Chairman but renamed LADY FARINGDON in 1917 when her husband became LORD FARINGDON. It became LNER C5 Class 5364, was renumbered 2879 in 1946 and withdrawn in December 1947 from Immingham, where all four of the class were allocated from 1933, and subsequently scrapped. Cast iron, 9"x5", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
