A worksplate, No 1038, GORTON, 1952 from a BR Class 26 Woodhead electric locomotive No 26031 built in January 1952 for use on the Manchester-Sheffield/Wath electrified route. It was withdrawn in October 1971, before the class was re-classified to Class 76, and cut up at BREL Crewe in May 1972. Engraved brass, 12"x6½", ex loco condition. (Postage Band: B)
