Early 18th Century Infantry Officer's Sword


31 1/4 inch, single edged blade with sharpened back edge point.  Triple fullers.  The central one with maker "Meficit Solingen" and various numerals.  Brass, double shell guard with raised edging leading to the knuckle bow.  Small, downturn quillon.  Brass ball pommel.  Wooden grip with brass wire, Turk head bands to either end.  Good fighting sword.
