Clemence Dane), a signed copy of BROOME STAGES by Clemence Dane, a typed script for "The Lion An The Unicorn" by Clemence Dane, a hand-written note in pen signed by Ivor Novello on 11 Aldwych note paper reading "Just a little line to say its quite beastly not having you around this ... - I have seen ... ... and ... ... twice in the last week and they are both well - i am ... a ... to remember ... a hug and I ... them constantly - ... ... ... stay became too protracted - So much love Ivor", a typed book for an Ivor Novello musical with working title "Theme Song", two cards to Olwen Bowen signed by film composer Richard Adinsell, a signed family photograph card showing Douglas Fairbanks Junior and family reading "To dear Olwen, Love aye, Mary Lee + Doug" and a hand-written letter signed by English novelist Hugh Walpole (1884-1941) (Qty)

NOTE: NOTE: Clemence Dane CBE is the pseudonym of English novelist and playwright Winifred Ashton (1888-1965). These pieces were inherited by the vendor from her husband's aunt Olwen Bowen-Davies, who was Clemence Dane's secretary and companion. Bowen-Davies was left a large collection of correspondence and other items by Dane when she died in 1965.
