A fine scale model of a 1860's brig rigged steamer SS Tzsru. One of many small cargo ships made to navigate the newly opened Suez Canal. Owned by De Busche of London and built by A. Stephens & Sons Glasgow. The well detailed twin masted model measures 91cm overall length, 45.5cm to top of masts, fully rigged, with decking detail, 2 lifeboats to stern, single funnel, twin ventilators, capstans and anchor chains etc. Comes with a magazine Model Shipwright and photographs showing the building of the model etc. Mounted in a polished wood glazed display case, 102cm x 31cm x 54cm. VGC. £100-150
