Figure of a seated Buddha Mucalinda (with traces of original polychrome)

Carved schist stone
Depicting Buddha Mucalinda seated in siddhasana on the coils of the naga whose seven heads serve as canopy. Wearing samghati and both hands in dhyanamudra, the right one holding a small medicine jar. His face with meditative expression, elongated earlobes, curled hair-dress and usnisha. With traces of original red and green polychrome.
