A Kushan Bronze Ritual Dish with Herakles-Inspired Motif, 1st Century B.C. – 1st Century A.D.
A finely cast bronze ritual dish from the Kushan Empire, depicting a central male figure evocative of a drunken Herakles-type archetype flanked by two female attendants. The three figures stand within a domed, recessed relief above radiating fan motifs, separated by a cross-form divider. The figures wear draped garments typical of Indo-Greek influence, with the central male adopting a contrapposto pose, possibly imitating the swagger of classical deities.
