Oil on canvas cleaned and relined many years ago, canvas remains tight, slight stretcher mark showing across the top, paint looks a little dirty with a fine but stable craquelure running throughout, painted to the octagon, housed in a later ornate giltwood frame which is in good order, pencil inscriptions on the stretchers relating to the sitter.
