A framed print -The burning of the Heretics, Guernsey, in 1556. Accused of being Hereticts, three Guernsey women were burnt to death at a spot near Tower Hill in St Peter Port. This print taken from 'Foxes Book of Martyrs' is the whole page as published circa 1563. The book higlighted the persecution of Protestants by the Catholic church. 29 x 20 cm.
