Unusual WW1 Imperial German Shortned Butcher Bayonet with single edged fullered blade 245mm in length. Maker marked "Waffenfabrik Mauser A.G Oberndorf a N" along with date to spine of blade "W17". Crossguard numbered "8285". Worn wooden grips. Working release catch. Overall length 379mm. Complete with corresponding shortened steel scabbard.
