Star lot : A beautiful vintage print titled "Inspirations: plate no. 1" from the French pochoir school, by the artist Adrien Jacques Garcelon and dating to 1929. Features his classic block colour geometric motifs throughout. Garcelon, the prominent French artist who, along with Benedictus, Seguy, and Fallot, produced bold and innovative textile and applied art designs in the 1920s and 30s. His style is characterised by geometric, Cubist-inspired abstract designs, using the innovative French stencil "pochoir" technique.
