1842 (Feb 14) Large entire letter (originally enclosing a lease) written from Loughglyn to Dublin bearing an 1840 2d pale blue EI-EL strip of strip of four (touched or close at base, margins on other sides) tied by three black Maltese Crosses, backstamped at Frenchpark (Co. Roscommon) and Dublin. Light folds and two repaired tears at upper edge, otherwise fine and a remarkable provincial Irish use of an 1840 2d strip, paying the rate for a 2oz letter.
