** Spain: Hotel Principe de Asturias, Malaga, 500 peseta share, Madrid 1921, #6699, lovely vignette of large hotel, green and black, with coupons. The hotel was designed by Fernando Guerrero Strachan and built from 1921. It was inaugurated in 1926 by King Alfonso XXIII. It was used as a Hospital during the Spanish Civil War but reopened as a hotel in 1940. In recent years the building has been used by the Palace of Justice and the Ministry of Finance who offered it for sale to be reopened as a hotel. It is now the Gran Hotel Miramar, voted the best luxury hotel in Spain in 2018. VF-EF.
