An interesting presentation silver cigarette case, HM Birmingham 1895, engraved on one side "Infantry Tournament 1894, Presented by the Officers 2nd Durham LI to Captain H. de B. De Lisle, No 2", the other side engraved with dates of various Polo Tournaments and Championships in India, starting with "Quetta 1891" and ending with "Championship 1898" and "Inter Regimental 1896-97-98" GC; together with an item copied from the internet entitled "2nd Regiment of DLI in Poona 1897- Plague Fighters and the Best polo team ever seen in India", including details of De Lisle, who became a Major General in 1918, was awarded the DSO for services in Egypt 1885-86, wrote a book on "Polo in India", trained polo ponies for the Maharaja of Kashmir in 1929-30, and died in 1955. £50-60
