Victorian Inlaid Rosewood Bonheur Du Jour/ writing desk. Two small cabinets decorated with delicate marquetry and string inlay sit either side of a small, shaped mirror and small drawer. The Cabinets have elegant, pierced brass galleries and glazed doors which open to velvet lined interior with removable shelf. The Fall front decorated with more marquetry inlay, opens to an original leather insert writing surface and an interior fitted with three waterfall drawers. Raised on elegant cabriole legs and ormolu to the hip and terminating in decorative sabots and shaped carved apron. [140x88x53cm]
