BIOGRAPHICAL NOTE: Kajetan Kapolka was a respected architect who took up painting in the late 1950s as a creative form of self expression, experimenting in texture, form and colour. His work is held in private collections in the UK and Europe, and can be seen in the BBC TV series 'The Little Drummer Girl'.
