AN EARLY 19TH CENTURY DRESS SWORD. With an 82cm tri-form blade with traces of original engraved decoration, with an oval guard with fold down side, the wire wound ebonised grip with a gilt bow, with ball pommel. With the upper mount from the scabbard engraved for Adams of Fore Street, Devonport. 99cm overall. Presumably for Maurice or Richard Adams of Devonport between 1824 and 1873. And a further gilt metal mount, probably unrelated *Condition: Nicks to blade, surface degradation to blade and gilt finish on guard.
