A Charles II oak part 'tester-bed', Lancashire, circa 1670

Without panelled tester, but with tester rails, the headboard of six upright panels, below a rail carved with a run of petal-leaf roundels, ending with the carved initials ‘RH’, below an applied board carved with a double row of stylized flowerhead-filled lunettes, the end-posts with baluster over parallel-baluster turnings, joined by a triple panelled footboard, with deep side rails, 138cm wide, 192.5cm deep, 187cm high
