Follower of Conrad Wise Chapman (American, 1872 - 1910), Ranchers herding livestock with mountains beyond, sketched oil on millboard, bearing a signature 'J F Herring 49', unframed, 30cm x 39.5cm
Condition wise, the picture is out of its frame and it has had a light varnish. There is some discolouration around the edges. The signature, we believe, is added later. There is one small knock and some mount rubbing. Date wise, looking at the back boards, we would suggest circa 1890 - 1910.
