A Rockingham seaweed porcelain part tea service, some pieces bearing the puce factory mark Rockingham Works Brameld Manufacturer to the King and painted number 1370, with small painted romantic landscapes within an ornate border of gilt seaweed. Forty pieces in total comprising teapot 19cms h including knop, sugar 17cms h inclu. knop, cream jug 12cms h, 11 saucers 15cms d, 11 coffee cups 7cms h x 9cms d, 12 tea cups 5cms h x 10cms d, cake plate 27cms d, 1 side plate 21cms d and a bowl 18cms d x 8.5cms h. Also includes a hard back book: "Rockingham 1745-1842" by Alwyn and Angela Cox, signed by both.

Large bowl with 2 hairline cracks to the rim, fine crackling to the glaze and some discolouration to the base. Two cups (9cms) with hairline cracks and one with crack to handle. One cup with slight gilt rub to rim. Jug with minor gilt rub to rim and handle. One saucer with hairline crack and one with paint chip. Side plate and cake plate with hairline crack. Cake plate with restoration /stapled. Some fine crazing to some pieces. Book in good condition.
