A cream Edwardian two-piece costume, the high-necked bodice boned, with waist tie, an inside panel with hooks and eyes under a side-fastening panel, hooks on the shoulder, gathered neckline, pigeon front, lower shawl-effect layer, with machine lace trimming, fitted waist with pleated silk ribbon and rosettes with pearls, the skirt trained, with gathering, lined in cream cotton (2)
In good order, some splitting to the silk ribbon around the bodice waist.
When laid flat and fastened across front, bust measures 41cm and waist measures 64cm. From private collection of costume, Yorkshire.
