A 19th Century believed Worcester / Copeland painted ceramic bisque figurine entitled Il Penseroso sculpted by Edgar Papworth, based off the poem by John Milton imagining the goddess of Melancholy. The figure standing upright in long gown with hair set in bun. Raised on a circular pedestal base. Measuring approximately 40cm tall.
