A substantial Coalport blue batwing dinner service, early 20th century, comprising a set of four low oval twin-handled vegetable tureens and covers, a pair of oval platters, 27.5cm wide; three further graduated serving or meat platters, 31cm, 38cm and 48cm wide; a pair of sauce tureens with covers and stands; twenty-four dinner plates, 25.5cm diameter; thirty medium plates, 23cm diameter; twelve soup plates, 26cm diameter, twelve small plates, 19.5cm diameter; sold together with twelve tea service sideplates, a teapot and cover and a cake or bread and butter plate, printed factory marks (112 pieces including covers) Provenance: Ivor Southorn Collection.
