18th Century silver hilted small sword and scabbard, pierced shell guard with ornate trophy of arms design, moulded twist grip, knucklebow, pommel and crossguard all with trophy of arms design, etched pattern to blade now largely rubbed away, triangular 81cm blade, scabbard with 2 hanger rings, the bands with trophy of arms design, top band also engraved JJ above Loxhams Royal Exchange (Loxhams were based in R.E. 1728-1803), minor rust to parts of blade, shell slightly loose, scabbard is broken in 2 pieces and the tip missing, sword very fine, scabbard fair.
