Four 19th century feather fans, in marquetry form, the first in tortoiseshell with three varieties of feather, applied in concentric bands, the central feathers dyed a dark salmon, and featuring two birds, overall height approx. 20cm, the next in fairly bright resin, the feathers mounted in the shape of a bird with outstretched wings, overall height approx. 20cm; a third fan with cream and bi-coloured feathers, and good silk tassel, approx. 16.5cm, and an unusually detailed fan with faux tortoiseshell gorge but possibly tortoiseshell guards, spotted feathers enclosing a countryside scene with painted flowers and two elaborate game birds, fontange form, overall height approx. 15cm (4)
The ribbon on the third fan is defective. Some loose feathers retained for repair.
