A Pattern 1856 or "East India Pattern" 2 band percussion cavalry carbine, 37" overall, barrel 21" with B'ham proofs and two folding leaf rearsights, the lock bearing crown and "Tower 1863", plain walnut fullstock with regulation pattern brass mounts, saddle bar and ring, and swivel ramrod. GWO & clean condition. Although conforming in every other respect and being proved for 25 bore (.577"), it is, in fact, .65" smooth bore, so has presumably been modified. £350-450
