The XK8 was launched in 1996 to replace the XJ-S. Two body styles were produced - a coupé and a convertible. The car was the first in the Jaguar line-up to use Jaguar's newly developed V8 engine - the AJ-V8. In 1999 the supercharged XKR was added to the range. The XKR featured 370 supercharged horsepower, a subtle rear spoiler, wire mesh front grille, and red exterior emblems.

This example was fully restored from the body shell up between 2014 and 2016, with a total of £11,000 spent. There are invoices with the car to show the work carried out, including a full engine rebuild, new paint, re-trimmed leather interior, new front and rear shock absorbers, and much more. The car has only covered circa 3,000 miles since the rebuild, when the clock was reset at 115,000 miles, to give a total of 118,000.

The car has been very well looked after, with 16 service stamps showing in the service book, and the car will have an oil and filter service prior to the sale. The car was MOT'd in March and has some advisories showing, these will be fixed prior to the sale also.

The vendor has owned the car since 2014, but it has hardly been used since the restoration, so it is now time for someone else to enjoy this stunning XK8. The car needs to been seen to appreciate the condition of the car, as this must be one of the very best early XK8s. The private registration number is included in the sale.
