Four Georgian intaglios. The first a pale amethyst colour, squat oval, engraved MARCHANT and depicting a semi-naked Greco-Roman female with axe and shield (2.7cm x 2.2cm x 0.9cm); the second a rounded square, pale amber in colour depicting Roman soldiers delivering a sacrificial bull to a statue of a god (2.6cm x 2.2 cm x 1.1cm); the third a similar, smaller, example depicting a young woman being delivered to a naked warrior by three semi-naked figures (2.0cm x 1.8cm x 1.1cm); and the fourth a clear glass small oval depicting a mythical scene of a naked couple in embrace (2.0cm x 1.8cm x 0.8cm).
