A 19th century Russian niello snuff box, stamped 84, Moscow 1838?, 8.5cm wide.
Some surface wear and scratching as you would probably expect.
One corner on the base section dented in.
Various other small dents scattered to corners edges.
Hinges work well but a small gap on the left side when the lid is closed as it springs up, I assume the lid is slightly distorted.
Assayers mark poorly struck.
No restoration visible.
