A late Victorian burr walnut Davenport, having satinwood inlay and strung with boxwood and ebony, the rear gallery opening to reveal an array of stationary compartments above a sloped writing surface with inset burgundy leather, opening onto a maple lined interior, the base with four short drawers opposite four dummy drawers, the carved and pierced columns terminating on a plinth base with bun feet and encased brass castors.
