A smokebox numberplate, 48689, from a LMS Class 8F No 8689 built by the Southern Railway at Brighton to Railway Executive Committee order and allocated new to Swansea Paxton Street on 25 February 1944. Its later sheds were Shrewsbury, Warrington Dallam, Royston, Farnley Junction and Stourton from where it was withdrawn on 5 July 1965 and cut up at Darlington Works. Repainted. (Postage Band: D)
