A LATE VICTORIAN SILVER BASKET imported by William Moering, London 1894, with diaper and foliate cast and pierced overhead swing handle, the rounded flared bowl chased with two rococo panels enclosing a putto reading and a cupid and doves beside a fruit filled basket, with two further foliate chased panels within diaper pierced and foliate chased borders, on a spreading foot, 4 3/4" diameter, 5ozs 17dwts (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT)
Generally good no engraving, there is an old (possibly almost comtenporary) repair to the handle, probably German, stamped with 8 pointed crown and fleur de lys
