A 1796 pattern Infantry officer’s sword, straight SE blade 32”, engraved, blued and gilt and crowned “GR”, Royal Arms, foliage and on one side maker’s name “Hampstow, Prince & Cathic” (?) in oval, and on the other side “York” in oval, with regulation wire bound grip. GC (some wear and patches of pitting to blade, quillon missing, knucklebar slightly bent) £150-200
