FRANCO-PRUSSIAN WAR IN PPCs: An immaculate, unusual and difficult to replicate collection, documenting many aspects of the Franco-Prussian war 1870-1871, by means of PPCs produced in France and Germany 30-60 years afterwards. Key locations (inc. siege of Paris), battles, events people and aftermath are all covered using very fine examples of 'golden age' cards both postally used and unused, some based on archival imagery from the time.
