Alberto Vargas (1896-1982), a selection of seven pin-up Playboy prints, to include; ‘… And I hereby resolve to be a good girl this coming year – starting first thing tomorrow morning!”, “What sort of peace did you have in mind, Mr. Smith?”, “Well, I’m not in favor of immediate withdrawal in every case.”, “I just can’t understand why I’ve had so few gentleman callers lately”, “Mirror, mirror, in my hand, This coat was priced at fourteen grand. What I paid could be shown clearer If I but had a full-length mirror.”, “Now both you and my hairdresser know for sure, Mr Brighton” and “I have very little willpower, Mr Hanson and even less won’t power.” Mixed condition, some with holes or marks to reverse from where they have been pinned or stuck up. Alberto Vargas was a Peruvian-American painter of pin-up girls. He is often considered one of the most famous of the pin-up artists. (7)
