WW1 BWM and Victory Medal to Capt N.C. Murray very fine. Unique rank and initials on MICs, Norman Cairns Murray was killed in action with 7th Bn Warwickshire Regt on 30th June 1916 and is buried in Hebuterne Military Cemetery. With copied newspaper article, His CO writes 'He was the idol of his men, and all the officers loved him as a brother. Only the night before his death he, with a party of men, attempted to get into the German trenches, and behaved most gallantly.' With copied CWGC, Soldiers Died and MIC, he landed in France 23/3/15, missing a star. (R)
